Lords committee to look into science infrastructure

The House of Lords Science and Technology Committee has announced an inquiry into the UK’s science infrastructure.

The inquiry, announced on 29 May, will cover large to medium-sized equipment as well as the e-infrastructure used to support scientific research. Written evidence can be submitted until 21 June.

Peers will look at the impact of removing capital spending from the ring-fenced science budget and ask whether this budget should be redefined to include capital.
