MPs investigate bioenergy

MPs on the House of Commons Energy and Climate Change Committee are to question representatives from research institutes, industry and charities on bioenergy.

At a hearing scheduled for 21 May, the MPs will hear from witnesses representing: the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds; the Centre for Energy Policy and Technology at Imperial College London; BSW Timber and the Wood Panel Industries Federation; Drax Group; Green Circle Bioenergy and the US Industrial Pellet Association; Estover Energy; and GB Railfreight.

The hearing will form part of the committee’s inquiry into bioenergy.
