The House of Commons Science and Technology Committee has announced evidence sessions for two inquiries.
On 13 May, MPs on the committee will hear from witnesses about protected areas in the Southern Ocean. The witnesses are: Jane Rumble, head of the Polar Regions Unit at the Foreign Office; Phil Trathan, head of conservation biology at the British Antarctic Survey; and Chris Darby, stock assessment coordinator at the Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science.
On 15 May, the committee will hold the next hearing in its clinical trials inquiry. Witnesses will include: several Department of Health officials; Janet Wisely, chief executive of the Health Research Authority; and Simon Denegri, national director for public participation and engagement in research at the National Institute for Health Research.
