BBSRC insiders to give evidence to food security inquiry

The House of Commons Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee is to hold a hearing in its inquiry into food security on 5 March.

Melanie Welham, director of science at the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council, and Paul Burrows, the BBSRC’s executive director of corporate policy and strategy, will give evidence to the committee.

Other witnesses include representatives of pressure groups the Soil Association and Friends of the Earth, plus the director of the York Environmental Sustainability Institute at the University of York.
