The House of Commons Science and Technology Committee is to hear evidence on the government’s record on its use of science advice.
The government’s chief scientific adviser Mark Walport will appear at the hearing on 2 April.
The other witnesses are Chris Gilligan, chairman of the Science Advisory Council at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, and Les Iversen, chairman of the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs at the Home Office.
