Eurosceptic scientists slam Lords inquiry

The pro-Brexit campaign group Scientists for Britain has said that the House of Lords Science and Technology Committee’s inquiry into the relationship between UK research and European Union membership is based on a fallacy.

In its submission to the committee’s inquiry, the group rejects the idea that the UK would be excluded from EU science networks if the country were to leave the union. As such, the group says, the inquiry is asking the wrong questions.

The group—which has yet to launch its official campaign and is only interacting with critics and supporters through Twitter at the moment—is made up of seven scientists and former scientists who wish to remain anonymous. They are based in London, Cambridge and Bath.
