Peers look into the future of autonomous vehicles

The House of Lords Science and Technology Committee will hold the first evidence session for its inquiry into driverless vehicles on 1 November.

Peers will hear from academics and government officials on the advantages of autonomous vehicles and whether the UK’s regulatory framework and infrastructure is prepared for the changes that they will bring to the road system.  

The committee will also explore the progress made in areas such as the shipping industry and agriculture towards developing their own forms of autonomous vehicles.
