Johnson and Walport called to science communication inquiry

Jo Johnson, the universities and science minister, and Mark Walport, the chief scientific adviser to the government, are to appear before the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee to be questioned on science communication.

The evidence session on 16 November will be the fourth and final hearing of the committee’s science communication inquiry.

In addition to Johnson and Walport, Melanie Smallman, an academic communication specialist at University College London, and Robert Evans, director of teaching and learning at Cardiff University’s School of Social Sciences, will also appear.
