The UK Parliament has opened a fellowship scheme for academic researchers, at every stage of their career, to undertake work from inside Westminster.
The scheme was unveiled at a lunch reception on 16 November hosted by the Speaker of the House of Commons John Bercow and the Lord Speaker Peter Fowler.
In a statement sent to Research Fortnight, the Westminster government said that the Parliamentary Academic Fellowship Scheme would be run by the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology and it had been endorsed by the Economic and Social Research Council and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council.
