Science committee launches inquiry into genome editing

The House of Commons Science and Technology Committee has launched an inquiry into genomics and genome editing.

The inquiry follows the publication of the Nuffield Council on Bioethics’s ethical review of genome editing in September.

The committee said that it was inviting written submissions on the impact of genomics and genome editing on wildlife and ecosystems, plants and animals, and on human health.
