Science committee hits trouble over lack of women

The House of Commons Science and Technology Committee is facing a cascade of criticism for its lack of female members.

Parliament announced the identities of the eight members of the committee—three Conservative MPs, four Labour MPs and one Liberal Democrat MP—on 12 September.

Its lack of female members, however, was quickly noticed and led to a storm of angry comments, mostly targeted at the committee’s chairman Norman Lamb (above).
