House of Commons S&T committee to examine UK government’s plans on hydrogen energy

The House of Commons Science and Technology Committee has launched a new inquiry into the role of hydrogen in achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, which is a UK government policy.

This follows prime minister Boris Johnson’s recently announced 10-point plan for a ‘green industrial revolution’ and the allocation of £81 million for hydrogen heating trials in the 2020 spending review.
