Public Health England warns Covid data still lacking

House of Commons inquiry hears BAME impacts and contact-tracing data require improvement

The data needed to understand the disproportionate impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities in the UK is still lacking, a public health official has warned.

In June, Public Health England highlighted the need for comprehensive and high-quality ethnicity data related to the pandemic, and support for research within these hard-hit communities.
