Former universities and science minister levelled-up to the House of Lords in dissolution honours

The prime minister’s brother Jo Johnson has been nominated for a peerage in a flurry of honours announced on 31 July.

Jo Johnson served twice as universities and science minister. He was removed from his post by prime minister Theresa May following his perceived reluctance to conduct a review of student finance.
