Crick director appoints David Willetts, Anton Muscatelli and Demis Hassabis to review’s scoping group

Nobel Prize winner Paul Nurse has revealed plans for his eagerly awaited review of the R&D system, which he hopes will provide “signposts” on how to make the UK’s science base “even better”.

The director of the Francis Crick Institute, whose previous review of R&D funding paved the way for the creation of the public funding agency UK Research and Innovation, was commissioned by the government earlier this year to analyse research institutes in the country.
