MPs: Give Scottish universities a seat on UKRI board

        

Call comes as Northern Ireland launches skills strategy to boost research graduates and science subjects

MPs have called for more collaboration and engagement to help Scottish universities get through the impacts of Covid-19 and Brexit, including by giving them a seat on the board of the national research funder, UK Research and Innovation.

“The reputation of Scottish universities and the research they conduct is nothing short of world class,” said the chair of the Scottish Affairs Committee in the House of Commons, Pete Wishart.
