Boris Johnson tells MPs he is “passionate about cementing UK’s status as science superpower”
Boris Johnson has highlighted his “passion” for science as he defended the government’s decision to cut its foreign aid budget.
In a letter to the chair of the House of Commons Science and Technology Select Committee dated 6 May but published on 11 June, the prime minister said he was “passionate about cementing the UK’s status as a science superpower” and he took a “personal interest in science funding”.
