Use of bacteria-killing viruses as alternative to antimicrobial drugs will be examined by S&T committee

MPs are to launch an inquiry into whether viruses capable of destroying bacteria can be a useful alternative to antimicrobial drugs.

The House of Commons Science and Technology Committee received over 90 ideas for new inquiries from the public and selected six ideas to hear more about in person at a livestreamed session in October. It has now selected bacteriophages as the subject for further investigation.
