Griffith fields first parliamentary questions as science minister

UK’s new science minister tackles Horizon Europe clawback, gender equality and net zero issues

The UK’s latest science minister Andrew Griffith has made his first appearance in parliament in his new role, mainly fielding questions from Labour’s shadow minister Chi Onwurah.

He thanked his predecessor George Freeman for his “outstanding contribution” to UK science and technology, and he said that he shared the former science minister’s “determination to drive forward British science”.
