Committee says UK government’s ambitions amount to “plan to have a plan…without specific commitments”

The government’s ambitions to improve diversity and inclusion in science, technology, engineering and mathematics are “disappointing” and amount to nothing more than a “plan to have a plan”, an influential group of MPs has said.

The House of Commons Science, Innovation and Technology Committee was reacting to the government’s response to its report on diversity and inclusion in Stem, following an inquiry on the topic.
