Scottish constitutional change centre launched

The Economic and Social Research Council has formally launched its Scottish Centre on Constitutional Change centred on a hub at the University of Edinburgh.

Researchers from the universities of Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Stirling and Strathclyde, and the National Institute for Economic and Social Research, in London, will examine issues associated with the future of Scotland, whether or not it becomes independent from the UK. These will include Scotland’s relationship with the UK and the European Union, and its currency and policy options.

The centre, which was launched on 20 November, will run for two years.
