Funding fuels Scottish oil and gas R&D

Scotland’s innovation agency has chosen the first project to receive funding through its Seek and Solve programme in partnership with Norwegian oil company Statoil.

It is hoped that the £1.5 million project will drive collaboration and innovation between large and small companies in the supply chain. The recipient is Raptor Oil. Scottish Enterprise is providing £400,000 of the funding, with the rest from companies.

Raptor aims to use the money to test its signal processing technology and make it viable for use in wellbores.
