Universities Scotland has welcomed chancellor Philip Hammond’s announcement that every city in Scotland will have a city deal.
In a statement sent to Research Fortnight by Universities Scotland, a spokesman said that “movement on City Deals for Edinburgh and Tay Cities and the start for Stirling is positive news for universities in these regions”.
Universities Scotland added that it welcomed the chancellors’ commitment to R&D investment “given the recent uncertainty caused by Brexit”.
