SNP calls for post-study visas but ‘forgets’ science in manifesto

The Scottish National Party is urging the UK government to allow international students to work in the UK, but its manifesto fails to make any mention of science.

In its manifesto, published on 30 May, the SNP says it supports the full reinstatement of a post-study work visa scheme.

The party criticised the government’s decision to scrap the scheme in favour of a pilot project aimed at retaining highly skilled talent.
