Wales sets priorities for antimicrobial resistance

The Welsh government has said that it wants to maximise opportunities for researchers based in Wales to participate in international research efforts to tackle antimicrobial resistance.

The Welsh government released a draft antimicrobial resistance delivery plan on 7 December, along with a public consultation on the document.

The government said it wanted to reinforce the need for interested parties to work together to tackle antimicrobial resistance and its consequences. Together for Health: Tackling antimicrobial resistance and improving antibiotic prescribing will provide the “blueprint for specific, co-ordinated actions at national and local levels”, the government said.
