Government promises to fill gaps in cyber security research

The government has pledged to identify “centres of excellence” within cyber security research and provide investment to plug any gaps it finds.

The announcement came as part of its Cyber Security Strategy, published by the Cabinet Office on 25 November, which is designed to support the UK economy, protect national security and safeguard the public’s way of life.
