David Harper, chief scientist at the Department of Health, has as announced that he will be moving to the World Health Organization.
Harper, who has also been the department’s director general for Health Improvement and Protection since 2003, will take up a post on secondment in Geneva to advise on global preparedness for health security from March 2012.
