Prospect outraged over rising forensic-lab closure cost

Scientists’ union Prospect has hit out at the news that closing the Forensic Science Service is to cost 40 per cent more than expected.

In a statement published on 31 October, the union said the government’s announcement that the closure would cost £100m was “the economics of the madhouse”.
