The Technology Strategy Board has launched a four-year £2.4 million funding competition to encourage developments in distributing and managing the UK’s future energy supplies.
The funding will support feasibility studies on innovations in power network technologies. The Smart Power Distribution and Demand competition opens on 9 January 2012 and the deadline for submission of applications is 22 February. There will be a briefing event in Birmingham on 18 January.
