Willetts announces £21m for satellite constellation

Science minister David Willetts has announced that the government is to invest £21 million in the development of a UK-built satellite constellation.

The constellation, NovaSAR, will be made up of four “synthetic aperture radar” satellites and will be used to monitor maritime security, climate change and humanitarian disasters.
