New members for government’s top science council

Julia Goodfellow and Keith Burnett, the vice-chancellors of the universities of Kent and Sheffield, respectively, are two of 11 new members appointed to the Council for Science and Technology.

The council, which reports directly to the Prime Minister, David Cameron, is a top-level advisory body on science and technology policy.
