‘Ground-breaking research’ on natural resources promised

The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs will support “ground-breaking research” into how to make the most of natural resources, it announced on 19 August.

The pledge is part of the goals of the government’s biodiversity 2020 strategy, which sets out how it plans to halt biodiversity loss in England and better support ecosystems services.
