UK wildlife worth £1.5bn, says government

UK wildlife is worth around £1.5 billion per year to the UK, two reports by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs has found.

The reports, “The Benefits of Sites of Special Scientific Interest in England and Wales” and “Economic valuation of the benefits of ecosystem services delivered by the UK Biodiversity Action Plan”, were published on 23 August.
