Tony Butterworth, formerly the non-executive director of the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement, has been confirmed as its chairman.
Butterworth started in the role on 1 January, replacing Yve Buckland. He has worked previously as an academic specialising in community nursing at the University of Manchester, where he later became dean of the school of nursing.
