Energy bill has low-carbon cost exemption for industry

The UK government introduced its long-awaited Energy Bill on 29 November.

Energy and climate change secretary Ed Davey also announced that the government intends to exempt energy-intensive industries from additional low-carbon costs—part of the electricity market reform.
