Home Office issues guidance on animal research update

The Home Office has issued a guide explaining changes to animal research legislation to managers of research facilities using animals.

The Home Office document, sent to facilities managers on 13 November, says that it is necessary for researchers to obtain re-authorisation of certain activities or for the use of certain types of animal as a result of the forthcoming update to the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986.
