Government must create markets to achieve real growth

The government should create new markets to help “kick-start the economic recovery”, according to the Big Innovation Centre.

In a report published 4 December, authors Andrew Sissons and Spencer Thompson of the BIC say that in order to turn new technologies—like 3D printing and self-driving cars—into jobs and growth the government needs to adopt a “deliberate approach to making markets” for them.
