Foresight, the government’s future scenarios unit, will investigate how to improve the UK’s anticipation of and resilience to disasters, it announced on 9 February.
“Improving Future Disaster Anticipation and Resilience” will try to identify which actions, especially through emerging science and technology, could be taken in the next 10 years to reduce the impacts of disasters arising from hazards up to 2040.
