Tim Bradshaw, head of innovation at the CBI, and Dick Olver, chairman of BAE Systems, are among a group of experts brought in to advise Foresight in its work to assess the future of manufacturing.
The government’s future scenarios unit started the two-year project in December in an attempt to pinpoint global trends and opportunities to produce a long-term picture for the manufacturing sector until 2050.
