Clegg announces £100m renewable energy boost

Renewable energy in the UK is to receive a £100 million boost from the government, deputy prime minister Nick Clegg announced on 6 August.

Speaking at the British Business Embassy—a two-day conference for business leaders in London for the Olympics—Clegg said the cash, which comes in advance of the UK Green Investment Bank opening later this year, would go to two specialist fund managers.
