Businesses and universities to compete for mental health funding

The UK Department of Health has announced a funding competition for small businesses and universities with ideas to tackle mental health problems or to improve end-of-life experiences.

The scheme is run by the Small Business Research Initiative, which is coordinated by the Technology Strategy Board. It is open to businesses, ‘pre-start-up’ companies and universities, although university applicants must have a plan to commercialise their idea.
