UK Trade and Investment is to promote UK cybersecurity research overseas.
This is part of UKTI’s strategy, launched by science minister David Willetts on 16 May, to export UK cybersecurity expertise.
Other steps outlined in the strategy include the creation of a catalogue of the UK’s cybersecurity specialists, and the preparation of reports on overseas markets to better inform UK suppliers of opportunities abroad. The reports will initially focus on Brazil, the Persian Gulf states, India and Malaysia.
