PM to use G8 presidency for dementia research push

Prime Minister David Cameron has pledged to establish a more international approach to dementia research during his presidency of the G8.

His office announced on 15 May that the UK will host a G8 dementia summit in London in September, aiming to bring together “health and science ministers alongside world-leading experts, senior industry figures and the OECD”.

In particular, the UK is working with the US to explore opportunities to advance thinking on dementia research and find opportunities for more international partnerships.
