Government launches online IP training

The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills has published a guide to help UK university staff understand intellectual property.

The guide includes an interactive online training module called IP Tutor, which uses case studies to show why intellectual property is important for universities across a range of disciplines, from humanities to science, technology, engineering, maths.

The package also includes a guide to intellectual asset management for universities. The government says it hopes the publications will help universities to make the most of the intellectual assets created by their staff and students and in collaborative relationships with business.
