In a corporate plan, the UK Space Agency has said it will spend £370.5 million in 2015-16, up from £316.3m in 2014-15.
International subscriptions will continue to make up the majority of the agency’s spending, at £285.3m in 2015-16 from £268.6m in 2014-15. However, the national programme will see a bigger increase in spending, almost doubling in size from £43.6m in 2014-15 to £80.8m in 2015-16.
Projects which the agency says it will be investing in 2015-16 include: NeoSat, a next-generation telecom satellite platform; the second phase of the National Space Technology Programme; the Mars exploration programme ExoMars; and national space propulsion test facilities.
