The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills has confirmed that George Freeman is to remain as minister for life sciences, the role that he occupied under the previous, coalition government.
In a tweet sent on 12 May, BIS said that Freeman, MP for Mid-Norfolk, had been reappointed to his former role, which straddles both BIS and the Department of Health.
Freeman, who worked in the life sciences industry for 15 years before becoming an MP, launched a review of innovative medicines and medical technologies in November 2014, which has yet to report.
