Government seeks views on future of bioeconomy

The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy has launched a call for evidence on its plans to develop the UK’s bioeconomy.

The government aims to develop a strategy that will “encourage a world leading bioeconomy that is appropriate to the UK’s industrial structure and availability of natural resources,” BEIS said in an announcement on 1 December.

Views are sought on topics such as decarbonisation, sustainability and food security.
