UK and Gates foundation to fund research on protecting crops

     

Government is set to provide £38 million for crop technology research in Africa and Asia

The UK government has announced a partnership with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to tackle global food insecurity.

On 8 October, the Department for International Development said the partnership would allow scientists to research technology to protect crops and produce “super crops” that will be more efficient and withstand the impacts of climate change.
