The research sector has great expectations of the upcoming spending review, to be presented by chancellor Rishi Sunak to the House of Commons on 25 November.

Covid-19 has delayed the review, which has been scaled down from a multi-year plan to a single-year mini-budget to tide the nation over. But many are hoping it will bring some much-needed clarity for the months—if not years—ahead.
