Kwarteng admits he has ‘no immediate solution’ for brain drain

Business secretary also reveals he is not “not aware” of issues facing clinical academics

The UK business secretary Kwasi Kwarteng had admitted he has “no immediate solution” to concerns over lack of morale among senior academics leading to brain drain.

During a House of Lords Science and Technology Committee hearing yesterday, Kwarteng also admitted he is “not aware” of clinical academics struggling to do research due to pressures of the NHS.
